Water: Lucky bamboo is very sensitive to chlorine and other chemicals commonly found in tap water. Make sure the roots always stay covered with water. Replenish your lucky bamboo with fresh water every seven to 10 days to keep it happy and healthy.

Nutrients/Fertilizer: A single drop of liquid fertilizer each month is plenty for most lucky bamboo arrangements.

Light: When it comes to light, lucky bamboo prefers bright, filtered sunlight.
